Israel Police to Maintain Elevated State of Alert

According to a report from Kan News, the Israel Police have decided to maintain an elevated state of alert across the country, at least until after the conclusion of Sukkos. This decision comes in response to a 15% increase in alerts related to potential terror threats leading up to the chagim.

To ensure the safety of the public, a significant deployment of thousands of police officers will be stationed in various locations, with a particular focus on Yerushalayim, especially in the Old City.

In related developments, it was reported on Monday night that several terror groups, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), have agreed to operate to intensify violent action among these groups.

On the eve of Yom Kippur, three shooting incidents occurred, although no injuries were reported, baruch Hashem. One of these attacks targeted a Jewish town, with a bullet penetrating the window of a residence. The Islamic Jihad terror group claimed responsibility for one of these incidents.
