Ten Israelis were wounded, three of them reportedly seriously, during a rocket barrage launched by Hamas towards the Kerem Shalom border crossing with Gaza. The attack, involving 10 rockets fired from Rafah, occurred on Sunday afternoon.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the rocket barrage, stating that it targeted a gathering of Israeli troops in the Kerem Shalom area.

The IDF said that it has closed the Kerem Shalom crossing for humanitarian aid trucks following the Hamas rocket attack.

The IDF reported later that three soldiers perished in the attack: Ruben Marc Mordechai Assouline, age 19, of Raanana; Ido Testa, age 19 of Yerushalayim; and Tal Shavit, age 22 of Kfar Giladi.
