In a joint effort between the IDF and the Shin Bet, Bilal Nofal, a key Hamas operative responsible for interrogating suspected spies in the southern Gaza Strip, was killed by an Israeli Air Force aircraft overnight Tuesday.

Nofal played a significant role in advancing Hamas’s research and development, and his removal is expected to impede the organization’s capability enhancement.

The operation follows a rocket attack on Netivot on Tuesday, where 50 rockets were launched at the southern city. In response, IDF troops located the launch compound in Gaza and destroyed three launchers, each equipped with 10 barrels.

In Khan Yunis, IDF forces intercepted three terrorists attempting to escape after firing mortar shells. A helicopter strike successfully eliminated the threat. Simultaneously, in the outskirts of Sheikh Ijlin in central Gaza, IDF troops, assisted by an IAF aircraft, targeted and neutralized two terrorists, leading to the discovery of a cache of weapons.

Israeli naval troops conducted strikes on Hamas terror targets, supporting IDF ground operations in Gaza.
