4 Soldiers Killed in Hamas Rocket Attack on Kerem Shalom

Hamas launched 10 rockets towards the Kerem Shalom area along the Gaza border on Sunday afternoon, resulting in the deaths of four IDF soldiers and leaving at least three others seriously wounded.

The fallen soldiers were identified as St.-Sgt. Ruben Marc Mordechai Assouline, Hy”d, 19, from Ra’anana; St.-Sgt. Ido Testa, Hy”d, 19, from Yerushalayim; St.-Sgt. Tal Shavit, Hy”d, 21, from Kfar Giladi; and Sgt. Michael Ruzal, Hy”d, 18, from Rishon LeTzion. Assouline and Testa were part of the Shaked Battalion in the Givati Brigade, while Shavit and Ruzal served in the 931st Battalion in the Nachal Brigade.

Soroka Medical Center reported receiving 10 wounded individuals from the attack, with three in serious condition, two in moderate condition, and five with minor injuries.

Following the assault, the IDF promptly closed the Kerem Shalom crossing in the vicinity, halting the passage of humanitarian aid trucks.

Emergency medical treatment was administered on-site to individuals injured in the rocket barrage, with some evacuated to hospitals for urgent care.

Furthermore, a residence in Kibbutz Kerem Shalom suffered damage from the attack, as confirmed by the Eshkol Regional Council.
