Gov’t and Opposition Gear Up for Talks After Netanyahu Pauses Judicial Reforms
Following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s announcement to pause Judicial Reform, President Isaac Herzog requested the establishment of mediation teams in both camps.
The opposition announced their negotiating team, which includes former Justice Minister Gideon Saar. The coalition has not announced the members of its team.
Israel’s High Court of Justice on Sunday gave Netanyahu one week to explain his personal involvement in judicial reform or be found in contempt.
