The Egyptian investigative team probing the murder of an Israeli-Canadian Jewish businessman in Alexandria has reportedly identified the perpetrator, as reported Wednesday by the daily Al-Masry Al-Youm. The suspect is currently undergoing interrogation, according to sources cited by the Egyptian outlet.

Multiple suspects have been questioned, the report states.

Comprising members from the Public Security, Criminal Investigation, and National Security agencies, the Egyptian team is actively pursuing leads.

An Egyptian source indicates that further information and findings from the investigations will be disclosed in the coming hours. The investigative focus is on individuals associated with the victim, particularly in Beheira and Alexandria, where the victim’s company is headquartered in the Smouha district.

Arabic-language media reports have named the victim as Ziv Kipper, Hy”d, the CEO of OK Group LLC, an Egyptian firm specializing in the export of frozen fruits and vegetables.

In an interview with Kan News, Kipper’s wife asserted her belief that her husband was targeted due to his identity as a Jewish man. She emphasized that the incident did not involve a robbery.
