Elma Avraham, a former hostage, was released from Be’er Sheva’s Soroka Medical Center on Wednesday following over five months of hospitalization since her release during a temporary ceasefire with Hamas.

Abducted from her home in Kibbutz Nachal Oz on Oct. 7, Avraham was among 17 hostages released on Nov. 26.

Expressing her determination to reunite with her family, Avraham insisted on the immediate release of the remaining hostages.

Avraham’s daughter, Tali Amano, highlighted her mother’s alleged medical neglect during her 50-day captivity in Gaza.

Upon her return, Avraham exhibited a heart rate of just 40 beats per minute and a body temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.

Despite efforts to send medication through the Red Cross as part of a humanitarian aid expansion agreement for Gaza, the drugs intended for Avraham and labeled with the hostages’ names were reportedly found unopened at Gaza’s Nasser Hospital.
