Senior Hamas Battalion Commander and Oct. 7 Terrorists Killed in Gaza Airstrikes

The IDF announced Sunday the killing of a senior Hamas commander belonging to the terror group’s Bureij Battalion in an overnight airstrike.

According to the IDF, Saleh Jamil Muhammad Imad, head of the combat support unit within the Bureij Battalion, was among those killed in the strike in central Gaza. Several other Hamas terrorists were also eliminated in the operation.

In a separate airstrike, three members of Hamas’s elite Nukhba force, who were reportedly involved in the Oct. 7 attack, were killed by IDF strikes.

Additionally, the IDF confirmed that another strike in Jabaliya, northern Gaza, resulted in the deaths of three Hamas terrorists, one of whom held the position of deputy company commander.

Throughout the night, the IDF conducted artillery shelling aimed at a Hamas rocket launching site in Gaza, which, according to military intelligence, was prepared for launching attacks on southern Israel.

Furthermore, fighter jets targeted multiple sites across Gaza, including buildings utilized by terror groups, weapon storage facilities, and other infrastructure. The IDF revealed that one of these buildings was struck after a sniper was identified inside it.
