Following Israel’s decision to block Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera and close its local offices, Army Radio reported that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant instructed IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi to also block the network in Yehudah and Shomron.

According to the report, sources within the IDF, who chose to remain anonymous, have stated that efforts are underway to enforce this directive.

However, it remains unclear whether the order exclusively pertains to areas of Yehudah and Shomron inhabited by Israelis or if it extends to Palestinian territories, where Al Jazeera maintains a much broader viewership.

The IDF declined to confirm the specifics of the order, directing inquiries to Gallant’s office, which has yet to provide a comment in response to the request.
