Key PIJ Commander Linked to Oct. 7 Attacks Killed

In a coordinated operation between the IDF and the Shin Bet, one of the leading figures of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) was eliminated, the IDF announced Motzoei Shabbos.

The targeted terrorist, identified as Imam Zerev, was killed by Israel Air Force fighter jets in southern Gaza. Zerev had orchestrated numerous attacks, notably spearheading the Nukhba forces’ assault on the border community and outpost of Sufa on Oct. 7. Furthermore, he was actively involved in directing PIJ’s combat readiness against IDF forces in southern Gaza.

The airstrike also resulted in the death of two other PIJ terrorists.
