Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich asserted that American opposition would only bolster Israel’s resolve to eliminate Hamas, emphasizing the necessity of continuing the conflict for Israel’s security.

U.N. Ambassador Gilad Erdan described Biden’s remarks as “difficult and very disappointing,” expressing concern over their potential impact on Israel’s adversaries, including Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah.

Biden’s comments, made during a CNN interview, marked his toughest stance yet on the issue, following his decision to halt the transfer of certain bombs over concerns regarding their use in densely populated areas like Rafah.
