BD’E − Harav Naftoli Tzvi Yehudah Shapiro, Zt”l

The Torah world was thrown into mourning with the petirah of Harav Naftoli Tzvi Yehudah Shapiro, zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of Shaarei Shemuos in Beit Chilkiah. He was approximately 70 years old.
Rav Naftoli Tzvi Yehudah was the son of Harav Moshe Shmuel Shapiro, zt”l, Rosh Yeshiva of Beer Yaakov and mechaber of multi-volume Shaarei Shemuos, after which his son’s yeshiva was named.
After being ill for the past few months, Rav Naftoli Tzvi Yehudah was niftar on Shabbos. The levayah took place on Motzaei Shabbos in his yeshiva, and kevurah was near his father in the beis hachaim of Ponovezh in Bnei Brak.
