Israeli forces have carried out operations targeting Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists who had taken refuge in Gaza’s Shifa Hospital compound and in Khan Yunis, according to the IDF.

Acting on intelligence suggesting the presence of senior Hamas figures planning attacks within Gaza’s largest hospital compound, Israeli soldiers re-entered the area. Since their initial entry on March 18, over 200 terrorists have been killed, and 800 terror suspects, including at least 500 confirmed members of Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad, have been detained.

During the operation, patients were relocated to a safe area within the Shifa compound to ensure their well-being. The IDF emphasized that civilians and hospital staff were not harmed during the operation.

Reports indicate that Hamas had established a makeshift administrative center within one of the hospital buildings, involving various government ministries such as education, interior, treasury, and police. It’s noted that on the day of the Israeli incursion, Hamas intended to distribute salaries to hundreds of its officials, with payments ranging from $200 to several hundred dollars.

In Khan Yunis, Israeli soldiers continued operations against terrorist infrastructure in the Al Amal and Al Qarara neighborhoods, seizing explosives and mortar shells.

In another incident, a Hamas unit located near Israeli forces in central Gaza was neutralized by aircraft.

Additionally, Israeli fighter jets targeted multiple tunnel entrances and an underground rocket launcher in various parts of Gaza.
