Tens of Thousands Gather for Birkas Kohanim at the Kosel on First Day of Chol Hamoed

YERUSHALAYIM — Tens of thousands gathered at the Kosel on Thursday morning, the first day of Chol Hamoed in the Diaspora, for the mass Birkas Kohanim ceremony.

The Ashkenazi and Sephardic Chief Rabbis, Harav David Lau and Harav Yitzchak Yosef, joined the tefillos.

A special tefillah was also held for the healing of the wounded and the release of the hostages still held in Gaza.

Hundreds of police officers, Border Police officers and volunteers have been deployed throughout the city of Yerushalayim, with an emphasis on the Old City area and the traffic routes in the area.
