Hamas Rocket Launchers in Gaza Humanitarian Zone Destroyed

By Yoni Weiss

IDF forces conducted airstrikes in Gaza overnight Tuesday, targeting Hamas rocket launchers located within a designated humanitarian zone in southern Gaza. The launchers, confirmed to be loaded with rockets, were positioned dangerously close to civilian shelter tents, as indicated by an image released by the IDF, showing them just 15 meters away from the nearest shelter. The IDF emphasized that precautions were taken to minimize civilian casualties before carrying out the strikes, consistent with previous operations.

This recent action follows a similar incident on April 8, when Hamas rocket launchers were targeted near an aid distribution area in Khan Yunis. Once again, no civilian casualties were reported as civilians were warned in advance of the impending airstrikes. The IDF’s efforts to neutralize Hamas targets in Gaza have been ongoing, with over 50 Hamas locations targeted by airstrikes, including an operational tunnel shaft.

In a separate operation in central Gaza, Hamas terrorists detected near Israeli forces were eliminated by tank fire.
