Sifrei Torah Saved as Fire Engulfs Shul in Modiin Ilit

A fire engulf a shul on Orchos Tzaddikim Street in Modiin Ilit and destroyed the structure, but firefighters from the Binyamin Regional Station-Matityahu Station were able to rescue the sifrei Torah before the blaze engulfed the entire building.
Firefighters responded quickly to the reports of a fire in the building and immediately entered the premises despite the smoke and fire and managed to remove the sifrei Torah. The firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before it spread to nearby structures but not before it caused extensive damage to the shul.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
