Chief Rabbi David Lau’s Wife Discharged From Hospital

YERUSHALAYIM

The wife of Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi Harav David Lau, Rebbetzin Tzipora Lau, has been discharged from Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikva after making a sufficient recovery following a stroke she suffered during Pesach.

She suffered a stroke while spending Pesach with her family on the Greek island of Crete. She was flown to Israel and was hospitalized in critical condition.

Rebbetzin Lau, 53, is the daughter of Harav Yitzchak Ralbag, Rav of the Maalot Dafna neighborhood in Yerushalayim and a member of the Chief Rabbinical Council of Israel.

Rebbetzin Lau had been gradually recovering, b’chasdei Shamayim, against all medical predictions. “We could clearly see the impact of all the prayers for her from Jews across the world,” a spokesman from the Chief Rabbi’s office stated, “and we would like to express our gratitude for all the tefillos and ask for people to continue to daven for the complete recovery of Faiga Tzipora bas Hadassa.”

On Monday morning, the Chief Rabbi and his wife traveled to daven at the Kosel to give thanks to Hashem for her recovery thus far and to daven for a refuah sheleimah.
