Bennett Meets With Family of Hamas Captive Avera Mengistu
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday met the family of Avera Mengistu, held captive in Gaza by Hamas since 2014, at his office in Yerushalayim.
The prime minister conducts meetings with families of the captives and the missing Israelis in Gaza on a regular basis in order update the relatives on the process of bringing them back.
According to reports, Bennett told the family that his “door is always open, and he is personally obligated to bring back the soldiers and civilians who are held in the Gaza Strip.”
The meeting was also attended by the military secretary to the prime minister, Major General Avi Gil, the head of the National Security Staff; Dr. Eyal Hulta; and the coordinator of the prisoners and missing persons, Yaron Blum.
