Report: RAF Fighter Jets Overfly Israel to Hit IS in Iraq

Britain recently sent jet fighters over Israeli airspace en route to bombing the Islamic State in Iraq, Channel 12 reported on Tuesday evening.

British jet fighters of the Royal Air Force carried out the mission between March 10 and 12, according to the report.

The RAF confirmed on Tuesday that its Typhoon FGR4 fighter jets used Storm Shadow missiles against IS targets south-west of Erbil city in northern Iraq.

The jets took off from Cyprus could be seen flying over Israel on several recent occasions on flight-tracking sites, the network said.

Neither the U.K. nor Israel made any comment on the overflight.
