Palestinian Killed by IDF Forces in Fishing Zone Incident
Israel Navy forces shot and killed a Palestinian in a fishing boat on Sunday after the vessel left the legally designated fishing zone and failed to respond to warnings to turn back.
The IDF confirmed the incident, including the arrest of two other Palestinian suspects who were taken for interrogation.
“The suspicious ship left the fishing zone off the northern Gaza Strip, with three suspects on it. In response, the IDF troops conducted the arrest protocol, which included calls [to stop], warning shots in the air and shots at the boat itself,” the army said.
“As a result of the gunfire, one of the suspects was seriously injured and later died of his wounds,” adding that an investigation is being conducted into the incident.
