The two rockets launched from northern Sinai into southern Israel Monday morning came just hours after the Islamic State group in Sinai accused Israel of killing five of its members in a drone airstrike several days ago.
B’chasdei Shamayim, no injuries were reported in Monday’s incident. The projectiles fell in open areas in the Eshkol Regional Council.
Speaking during an international conference in Munich, Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman hinted that the IDF was indeed responsible for the drone strike. He noted, however, that unlike Hamas or Hezbollah, the terrorists in Sinai do not pose a significant threat to Israel’s security.
