Soldier Injured in Search for Gush Etzion Shooters

An IDF soldier was injured late Motzoei Shabbos during a patrol in search of terrorists who had fired at a bus earlier in the evening. The soldier was injured when Arabs threw stones at the IDF patrol searching for the shooters in the village of Sa’ir, outside Chevron. The soldier was treated on site.

The patrol was searching for the shooters who attacked an Israeli bus near Tekoa, at the eastern reaches of Gush Etzion. According to witnesses, an Arab vehicle passed the Israeli bus on the road near Tekoa and a terrorist sitting in the front passenger seat opened fire on the bus before speeding away. No one was injured in the incident, but there was damage to the bus.

Overnight, security officials said they arrested 2 wanted security suspects in other areas in Yehudah and Shomron. The suspects were wanted for participating in rioting and throwing stones and firebombs that endangered Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers. They were also charged with belonging to Hamas. All were being questioned on their activities by security forces.
