Two Women Wounded in Yerushalayim Stabbing
Two Israeli women, who were wounded in a stabbing attack Tuesday morning in Yerushalayim are being treated at Shaare Tzedek Medical Center. The two, women in their 70s, are in moderate and light condition respectively. A third was treated at the scene and released.
Police set up checkpoints around the German Colony area, where the stabbings took place. Police suspect that the stabbing was carried out as an act of terrorism, although they are also investigating if criminal motives were involved. Witnesses said that the terrorists were masked and that they had taken the womens’ purses.
Two suspects were apprehended, but then released after it was found that there was no evidence against them.
