New Stamp Commemorates Harav Ovadia Yosef, zt”l
The Stamp Authority of the Postal Service has issued a new stamp in honor of Hagaon Harav Ovadia Yosef, zt”l, who passed away a year ago.
The stamp, which has a denomination of two shekels, bears the image of Reb Yosef in a characteristic pose, studying a sefer.
Along with the new stamp, the Authority has produced a commemorative package for the life of the renowned halachic authority, including nine stamps and a booklet about him and his work, exclusive pictures from the family archive and copies of rare documents of Reb Yosef’s writings. It is available for sale at post office branches and online.
