Sharon’s Condition Worsens
There has been a significant deterioration in the condition of Ariel Sharon. The former prime minister has been hospitalized at Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer due to kidney failure, according to reports.
Sharon, 11th prime minister of Israel, has been in a coma for eight years, after suffering a critical stroke on Jan. 4, 2006.
The 85-year-old has been in a deep vegetative state since his initial hospitalization, despite sporadic positive responses to scans that measure brain activity.
