Iran Prosecutes Three Israelis on Spying Allegations
Iranian authorities claim to have arrested three Israelis on espionage charges, The Jerusalem Post reported, quoting the Iranian news agency Mehr.
They are suspected of spying and attempting to recruit Iranian citizens to gather intelligence for Israel, according to the report.
Iranian judge Dadkhoda Salarias disclosed that most of the suspects confessed during interrogation to espionage activities on behalf of Israel.
“The three hired some 60 Iranian citizens to plot against the Islamic government,” the judge was quoted as saying.
