Now that the snow has melted, we are left with very dirty streets. Could we all work on tying down our garbage more securely so it doesn’t fly all over on windy days?
I think most of us would enjoy walking through clean streets especially with weather warming up and Pesach coming. I have lots of construction in my neighborhood, which equals a lot more garbage. I approached a construction worker and asked him to please not leave garbage on my property. His response was:
“Lady, this is Brooklyn.”
I was taken aback by his comment. He is not a Brooklyn native and that’s his attitude toward Brooklyn. Could we possibly change that?
We can do it. Thanks in advance.
