Security Cut Causes Longer Lines at Train Stations
A reduction in the deployment of security guards at Israel’s railway stations has resulted in abnormally long lines at train stations, The Times of Israel reported on Thursday.
Earlier this year, the Transportation Ministry announced it planned to cut a third of its security guards.
In response, Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz promised to take steps to prevent the measure from being carried out. However, Katz failed to intervene, according to Israel Radio.
