Iran initiated an assault on Israel late Motzoei Shabbos by deploying dozens of drones and cruise missiles directed toward the country, IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari confirmed. He added that the Israeli Air Force is monitoring the drones, which are expected to take several hours to reach their destination.

Hagari also informed that the IDF might cause GPS disruptions as they engage in efforts to intercept the drones. He assured that any additional threats would prompt further updates from the IDF.

Sirens will be activated only if the drones penetrate Israeli airspace, specifically over areas under threat. Hagari emphasized the IDF’s readiness to neutralize the drones as early as possible.

According to Channel 12, the United States first detected the drone launch and promptly alerted Israel.

In response to the situation, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu also addressed the nation, asserting Israel’s preparedness against the Iranian threats. “Israel has activated air defenses and is equipped to handle any scenario,” he declared. Netanyahu thanked the United States, the U.K., France, and other supporting nations, stating, “We will retaliate against anyone who seeks to harm us. We will defend ourselves against any threat with calmness and resolve.”

Netanyahu called on all citizens to follow the guidance from the Home Front Command, adding, “Together we stand, and, b’ezrat Hashem, together we will overcome all of our enemies.”
