In the ongoing Israeli operation targeting Gaza’s largest hospital, the IDF have apprehended more than 800 terror suspects, with 480 confirmed as members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the IDF announced on Sunday morning.

Since the commencement of the raid last Monday, Israeli forces have killed over 140 terrorists within the hospital compound. Many suspects have been transferred to Israel for further questioning, while weapons confiscated from the premises have been seized.

Notable among those detained are Hisham Tzarzur and Diab Tatar, senior officials within Hamas’s Gaza district emergency committees.

Tragically, Staff Sgt. Lior Raviv, Hy”d, 21 from Rishon LeTzion, lost his life in combat in the vicinity of the Shifa compound on Shabbos.

To ensure the safety of patients, they have been relocated to a designated area within the Shifa compound as part of the operation.

The IDF emphasizes that no civilians or medical staff have been harmed, and there has been no damage to medical equipment.

The incursion into Shifa Hospital, Gaza’s primary medical facility, was initiated following intelligence suggesting the presence of senior Hamas figures orchestrating attacks from within. As Israeli forces approached, Hamas terrorists engaged in hostilities from within the hospital premises.

Hamas has extensively exploited Shifa Hospital, utilizing it for launching rockets, concealing hostages, executing collaborators, and constructing tunnels connecting to nearby areas. Israel has provided evidence, including intercepted communications, indicating that Hamas stores significant quantities of fuel beneath the compound.

Simultaneously, in northern and central Gaza, Israeli airstrikes targeted approximately 65 sites, including Hamas military installations, attack tunnels, and other infrastructure associated with terrorist activities.

In central Gaza, Israeli troops eliminated two terrorists with precision sniper fire. Ground forces also conducted a targeted raid on a drone manufacturing facility operated by terrorist groups, encountering and neutralizing hostile elements outside the compound.

In southern Gaza, IDF snipers eliminated several terrorists, while engineering units successfully targeted a launching site. Additionally, guided airstrikes struck terrorist infrastructure with ground support.

In Khan Yunis, Gaza’s second-largest city, Israeli aircraft targeted a Hamas compound as part of the broader military campaign.
