On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers, assisted by the IDF’s Commando Brigade and Shayetet 13 unit, arrested 250 Palestinian terrorists in Khan Yunis. The operation targeted terror infrastructure in the Hamad Towers district, resulting in the surrender of numerous terrorists, including a Hamas sniper cell commander and two Hamas squad commanders.

During the raid, the soldiers seized a substantial cache of weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, vests, RPGs, explosives, ammunition, and closed-circuit diving systems intended for military and terrorist use. Among those arrested were terrorists affiliated with Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Recent evacuations by Israeli forces from the towers revealed dozens of terrorists attempting to escape among the civilian population. Some of the apprehended individuals were reportedly involved in the Oct. 7 massacre, while others belong to Hamas’s elite Nukhba force. The IDF has confirmed that many are currently undergoing interrogation.

Constructed with Qatari funding following the Gaza war of 2012 and inaugurated in 2016, the Hamad Towers represent a residential area comprising 40 towers in Khan Yunis.
