Suspect Arrested for Assaulting Two Williamsburg Women

A suspect was arrested Friday in connection with the assault of two Chasidishe women in Williamsburg with the help of Shomrim.

The suspect, who Shomrim say is emotionally disturbed, allegedly punched two women in the area of Myrtle Avenue and Walworth Street at around 12 p.m.

The victims did not require medical attention.

Shomrim were called, and members spotted the suspect. They followed him until police arrived and arrested the suspect on Myrtle Avenue between Nostrand and Marcy Avenues at around 12:30 p m.

The suspect was charged with two counts of assault, and reportedly had an open warrant out for his arrest.

Sources tell Hamodia that the suspect is believed to have allegedly stolen from a local grocery store.
