1500 Participants Join Health Expo for Seniors Hosted by BPJCC

BROOKLYN – Over one thousand five hundred participants attended a first ever Senior Health Expo in Boro Park where they were able to gain up to date information on an array of health-related issues and hear from top rated professionals and speakers.

The event was sponsored by Boro Park Jewish Community Council (BPJCC) who brought together leading doctors and health professionals to help inform Boro Park seniors of the latest developments in health care and guide them in finding the doctors and other health workers to keep them keep up their health.

Over fifty booths were manned by experts from different fields including doctors and lawyers, and the visitors were able to take advantage of various health screenings as well.

The incredible expo featured interesting speakers both on health-related issues as well as well-known presenters on various related topics.

Rabbi Paysach Krohn and Rabbi Avrum Mordche Malach delivered inspirational talks. Harav Chaim Kohn, shlita aspoke about Halachic wills, and Mr. Yossie Klein, an expert on trusts, presented on trusts and elder law.

Top rated doctors, including cardiologists Dr. Benico Barzilai and Dr. Mark A. Apfelbaum delivered lectures on heart health, and Dr. Abraham Knoll spoke about vascular issues. Dr. Don Zwickler, and endocrinologist informed the participants about diabetes, and Dr, Aaron Z. Tokayer presented about gastroenterology. The sessions were moderated by Shimshi Zimmerman, DO, Medical Director of Hatzalah.

“This event, the first of its kind in Boro Park, helped our seniors get a better understanding of their health requirements, and many received guidance where they can seek assistance to keep themselves in the best of health during their golden years,” Said Mr. Avi Greenstein, CEO of BPJCC.
