U.N. Commissioner Demands Iron Dome for Hamas

YERUSHALAYIM (Hamodia Staff) —

The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations has denounced United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay’s latest anti-Israel condemnation as “a new low” in bias against Israel.

The Conference was responding to Pillay’s latest demand during the war with Hamas, that Israel and the United States should provide the Iron Dome technology to the Hamas terrorist regime in Gaza.

Pillay, who soon finishes her tenure, made the statement at a series of emergency meetings of the Geneva-based United Nations Human Rights Council.

While there she failed to mention, however, that Iron Dome was developed for defense against the tens of thousands of missiles in the hands of terrorist groups surrounding Israel, nor did she mention Hamas’ placement of missiles in U.N. schools and facilities, observed Robert G. Sugarman, Chairman, and Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference.
