Yeshivah Etz Chaim

Thank you for the beautiful pages on the life of Maran Harav Shteinman, zt”l. It is incredible how much can be written on such short notice.

I would like to make a correction, if I may.

The yeshivah in Montreux, Switzerland, was named Yeshivah Etz Chaim, not Heichal Eliyahu. Harav Moshe Botschko, zt”l, the son of Harav Eliyahu Botschko, zt”l, opened a yeshivah in Eretz Yisrael after he closed the one in Montreux, and named it Yeshivah Heichal Eliyahu. Harav Yitzchok Scheiner, from Kamenitz, and, ybl”c, Harav Bezalel Rakov, zt”l, from Gateshead, were among the Roshei Yeshivah in Montreux, Switzerland, as was Harav Just, zt”l, former Chief Rabbi in Amsterdam.
