“Think Positive and It Will Be Positive”: Kyiv Prepares for Yud Aleph Nissan

As preparations intensify for the third Pesach amid the ongoing war in Ukraine, the chief Chabad shliach in Kyiv and the city’s Rabbi, Rabbi Yonatan Markovitz, has initiated a unique campaign for the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s birthday throughout the Ukrainian capital. As part of this special campaign, 122 billboards and giant screens featuring the Rebbe’s image and the Chassidic motto “Think positive and it will be positive” have been placed across Kyiv.

The signs, installed by ‘JCC Beit Menachem’ under the leadership of Kyiv’s Rabbi Markovitz, convey messages of encouragement and strength to the residents of Ukraine.

On Friday, Yud Aleph Nissan – the date of the Rebbe’s birthday – community members will go out for a widespread tefillin campaign throughout the city.

Additionally, the community is distributing Pesach food to the city’s Jews, and during the Yom Tov, public Sedarim will be held across the city. Community volunteers will also conduct a Seder in prisons for Jewish inmates.
