Secretary of State Antony Blinken is expected to deliver a report to Congress soon regarding Israel’s actions in Gaza, potentially as early as Friday.

According to Axios, the report is anticipated to criticize some of the IDF’s conduct but will refrain from concluding that Israel has breached international law. Although it will address concerns about potential violations of international humanitarian law, it will not recommend disqualifying Israel from receiving US military aid.

Despite facing delays, the submission of the report to Congress is deemed imminent. This move aligns with President Joe Biden’s directive issued in February, mandating notification to Congress if arms recipients are found to be in violation of international humanitarian law.

Furthermore, the assessment is expected to suggest that Israel has not deliberately obstructed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, which has been a pressing concern amid ongoing conflict in the region.
