Addressing the leadership of AIPAC in Israel on Monday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu suggested that criticism from Washington regarding the handling of the war against Hamas is “deliberately false,” serving domestic political agendas.

Netanyahu dismissed the portrayal of him as an “outlier prime minister” influenced by extreme factions, labeling it as intentionally misleading. “They know it’s false,” he asserted, “but that falsehood is perpetuated, and it’s wrong.”

Asserting Israeli unity behind the objectives of dismantling Hamas and securing the release of hostages, Netanyahu emphasized that this message has been conveyed to President Joe Biden and other officials. He questioned whether domestic politics in the U.S. or in Israel were more influential in shaping perceptions of the conflict.

With Biden facing declining support, particularly among progressive and Muslim-American demographics, Netanyahu stressed the importance of solidarity in confronting the ongoing conflict. “We have to stand together and win this war,” he declared, emphasizing the need for unity on both sides of the Atlantic.

Netanyahu and Biden are scheduled to hold a phone call later Monday to discuss the situation further.
