Early Returns of Run-Off Elections for Israeli Municipalities

Israelis in numerous municipalities in Israel went to the polls once again as they voted in run-off elections where the results of the first round did not give a decisive victory to one of the candidates. Approximately 46% of the eligible voters took part in this round of voting.

In Bet Shemesh, with over 50% of the votes tallied, Shmuel Greenberg is projected to be the victor over the incumbent Aliza Bloch.

In Haifa, with 97% of the votes counted, Yonah Yahav is ahead of Dovid Etzyoni, with 62.5% of the votes.

In Rehovot, Matan Dil has 61% of the votes with approximately one quarter of the votes counted.

In Efrat, with only 3 polling station not reporting yet, Dov Sheffler leads Oded Rabibi by 9 percent.

In Pardes Chana-Karkur, Yoni Hakimi from New Hope is leading by a large margin over Hagar Peri Yegor, the incumbent head of the council.

In Kiryat Ekron, Ilan Yirimi defeated the incumbent head of the council, Hovav Sabri.

In Ness Ziona, Mayor Shmuel Boxer was re-elected for another term.

In Barish, Likud scored another victory as Mayor Yitzhak Keshet was re-elected for another term.

In Ariel, Yair Chetboun defeated former MK Oren Hazan.

In Or Akiva, Yesh Atid candidate Simcha Yosifov received 57% of the vote and defeated Likud candidate Eli Ankonina.
