Police Intercept Ambulance Smuggling Illegal Palestinian Workers

Two medical volunteers from a private medical organization were arrested Sunday morning at the Ofer checkpoint near Yerushalayim after attempting to smuggle Palestinians into Israel.
Operating a vehicle labeled as “private ambulance Hadera,” they sought to bypass inspection by alleging they were en route to a traffic accident scene. Upon refusal by security personnel to allow passage, inspection of the ambulance revealed eight Palestinians lacking entry permits to Israel.
The two volunteers and eight Palestinians were taken into custody.
