Low-cost airline Wizz Air announced plans to recommence flights to Israel starting in March. The airline is set to operate flights between Tel Aviv and six cities: London, Rome, Cracow, Budapest, Bucharest, and Sofia, with three weekly flights to each destination.

Wizz Air joins a list of airlines, including Air Europe, Air Seychelles, Air France, Emirates, Blue Bird, and Lot, that are all to restart flights to Israel in the coming weeks.

Despite the ongoing war, Israel’s three airlines – El Al, Arkia, and Israir – have maintained operations to and from the country, although they have temporarily suspended flights to certain destinations. For instance, El Al has halted flights to Istanbul, Dublin, Tokyo, and Marseilles.

Several international carriers have either resumed or continuously operated flights to Israel, including Ethiopian Airlines (Addis Ababa), Uzbekistan Airways (Tashkent), Austrian Airlines (Vienna), Azimuth (Russia), Aegean Airlines (Athens), Etihad Airways (Abu Dhabi), High Sky (Kishinev), Tarom (Bucharest), Lufthansa (Frankfurt and Munich), Swiss (Zurich), FlyDubai (Dubai), and Red Wings (Russia).

Meanwhile, approximately 50 airlines have canceled all flights to Israel and have no immediate plans to resume operations, ever since October.
