Approximately 60 protestors were arrested by the United States Capitol Police on Tuesday for taking part in an anti-Israel protest in the Capitol Rotunda, Fox News reported.

“We were aware of a group’s potential plan to take a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building and then start a protest,” USCP said in a statement.

“It is against the law to demonstrate inside the Congressional Buildings, so we brought in additional officers to be prepared for the moment the group would break the law. The group was screened when they entered the building,” police said.

The arrested demonstrators were charged with Crowding, Obstructing or Incommoding after being instructed by a law enforcement officer to cease.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga) tweeted, “Insurrection happening now in the Capital!! Is that Linda Sarsour leading the Pro-Hamas Anti-Israel insurrectionists? Very serious ties to terrorists & Progressive Democrats if it’s her. Arrest them all and throw them in the DC gulag in solitary confinement just like J6’ers!”
