Security Forces Demolish Home of Terrorist Behind Neve Yaakov Shooting

On Wednesday morning, a joint operation involving hundreds of Yerushalayim district and city police officers alongside IDF forces resulted in the demolition of the family home of Khairy Alkam, a 21-year-old terrorist responsible for the fatal shooting near a shul in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Yerushalayim earlier in 2023.

The terrorist, Khairy Alkam, initiated the attack on a Leil Shabbos, targeting civilians, firing at close range and resulting in the deaths of seven Jews, Hy”d. The victims were Shaul Chai (68), Irina Korolova (59), Rafael Ben Eliyahu (55), Eliyahu Mizrachi (48) and his wife Natali (45), Ilya Sosnaski (26), and Asher Natan Morali (14.5).

Recently, following the approval of plans by Yerushalayim District Commander, Superintendent Doron Turgeman, the operation to demolish the terrorist’s family home in Ras al-Amud commenced under the supervision of Yerushalayim Police Commander Yaakov Berman. The joint operation involved Border Police, district policemen, and IDF forces working collaboratively.
