By Hamodia Staff
A large two alarm blaze if consuming the abandoned Pines Hotel in South Fallsburg, NY.
The hotel, which was once one of the largest hotels in the Catskill Mountains which was known as the “Borsht Belt” closed in 1998 after struggling financially and suffering damage to the structures. In the interim, various plans were proposed to develop the grounds, including building numerous homes on the property. Those plans, which were the subject of disputes concerning the ownership, never came to fruition.

Local fire departments were fighting the fire. Catskills Hatzalah was on the scene.
