YERUSHALAYIM – Israel Police and the Shin Bet are carrying out an intensive search for the perpetrators of the bombings that killed two Jews Hy”d in Yerushalayim last week, according to Channel 12.

The report said the manhunt was closing in on the terrorists, but a court-imposed gag order prevented any details from being publicized.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday the last person wounded in the attack was released from Sha’arei Tzedek hospital in the capital.

The 62-year-old man, who was admitted in serious condition, underwent several operations to remove shrapnel, and was sent home in good condition for further recovery and rehabilitation.

A Sefer Tehillim played a part in saving his life, when a piece of shrapnel from the bomb penetrated through the back cover of the Tehillim he was carrying in his pocket.

The fragment made its way through the pages of the book before coming to rest at Chapter 124, verse 7. The verse reads: “Nafsheinu k’tzipor nimlata mipach yokshim: hapach nishbar, va’anachnu nimlatnu – Our soul has escaped like a bird evading the grasp of its captors. The grasp is broken and we have escaped.”

The potentially lethal fragment was stopped by the Sefer Tehillim.

He asked reporters at the hospital to share his story with the public, saying, “This is what helps.”
