Smokey Two Alarm Fire on Construction Above Isaac’s Bakery on Ave J in Flatbush

BROOKLYN – Nine FDNY engines, multiple NYPD officers, numerous Hatzalah and EMS responders converged on a smokey fire which engulfed one of the upper floors above Isaac’s Bakery on Avenue J in Flatbush. Initial reports indicate that there were no occupants in that part of the building and no injuries.
FDNY evacuated the attached buildings which included residential apartments, and used saws to cut through security gates on the store located on East 15th Street to make sure the flames did not spread to those buildings.
