Opposition leader Binyamin Netanyahu berated Foreign Minister Yair Lapid for his absence from the official state ceremony marking Holocaust Remembrance Day.“Next year, when Lapid becomes the leader of the opposition, I expect to see him at Yad Vashem [for the ceremony],” Netanyahu tweeted.

Vladimir Beliak, an MK from Lapid’s Yesh Atid party, wrote in response that  Netanyahu will still be in the opposition next year, and in two years he will meet Prime Minister Lapid, upon his turn in the rotation of the premiership in November 2023.

About two weeks ago, Lapid was criticized for being on vacation in Spain at the height of the Palestinian violence in Yerushalayim, and was forced to cut his trip short to return home.

Meanwhile, the coalition and its agreements, on which the rotation is based, continued to stagger along on Thursday evening, as Ra’am chair Mansour Abbas boycotted a meeting of coalition leaders, the Kan public broadcaster reports.

Ra’am is currently out of the coalition, in protest of its handling of the status quo on Har Habayis. Foreign Minister Yair Lapid met with Abbas yesterday, though the issues were not resolved, according to Kan, and the party’s return to the coalition remains in doubt.
