Two men believed to be the perpetrators in the mugging at 55th Street and 14th Ave. on Sunday night.

A gunpoint holdup in Kensington late Tuesday night is believed to have been carried out by the same two perpetrators responsible for several other similar crimes in the area, and police are increasing patrols in the area.

The latest incident occurred around midnight late Tuesday night, as two men flashed a gun and mugged the victim on Ocean Parkway between Church and Caton Avenues, making off with some personal property before fleeing to the nearby train.

A similar crime occurred Sunday night at 14th Ave. and 55th Street in Boro Park, and several days earlier on 47th Street between 12th and New Utrecht Avenues in Boro Park, and at Bay Parkway and 86th Street in Bensonhurst.

The four muggings were carried out by two black men with a gun, who then fled up to the nearby train.

Police believe the same pair is responsible for all four crimes. The NYPD’s 62nd Precinct, which covers Boro Park and Kensington, will be increasing both uniformed and plainclothesed patrols, and will coordinate with transit police.
