Terrorist Charged With Attempted Murder in Beit El Attack

YERUSHALAYIM

Israeli authorities have filed an indictment against a Palestinian who assaulted an IDF soldier with a knife and a rock last month near Beit El, The Times of Israel reported.

The man confessed to the crime, which took place on December 14, and prosecutors reportedly are seeking conviction on two counts of attempted murder.

The soldier, Naveh Rotem, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries to his head and face after the attack.

B’chasdei Shamayim, he made a full recovery and was released from hospital a week later.
