Anti-Hate Youth Group From DC Visits Boro Park

BROOKLYN -

A group of young college students from Washington, D.C., visited Boro Park on Wednesday to gain an understanding of the Orthodox community, touring 13th Ave.

The group, called Operation Understanding, has a mission to imbue the next generation of African American and Jewish community leaders with mutual respect and cooperation while working to eradicate racism, anti-Semitism and all forms of discrimination. They were given a tour of Boro Park by staffers of state Sen. Simcha Felder’s office, Judah Wohlgelernter and Herzka Grunfeld.

“Operation Understanding is doing important work and I’m happy that they include Boro Park each year in their quest for knowledge of diversity,” Felder said.
